The beautiful thing about the TV TrickleSaver™ is that it allows you to REDUCE ENERGY use with your TV and Stereo equipment without needing to buy a new power strip. It does this by detecting when your TV is turned off by sensing the reduction in power being drawn via the TV's power cable. When the TV is detected as being off, then any devices connected via the TrickleSaver™ get turned off automatically. This could include your Amplifiers, Satellite Receivers, Game Consoles and DVD Players.

This device can also be used with a PC, especially if you allow your PC to go to sleep automatically or into "Hibernation", when typically the USB port remains turned on. For these situations, the reduced power being used via the PC's power cable would be used as a trigger for turning off peripheral devices.
